Providing radio frequency, baseband, system and complete software support to OEMs and system integrators, Broadcom’s Bluetooth chips and Wireless Connectivity Combo chips enable the wireless sharing of data among scores of electronic devices, from mobile phones and wireless stereo headsets to PDAs and automobiles.
As a senior engineering team member, you will contribute to the design, development and verification of Broadcom’s highly successful Wireless Connectivity Combos and Wireless Personal Area Network (PAN) SOCs. Responsibilities include:
• Lead the block level architecture design
• Author detailed design documents
• Develop and execute thorough simulation and lab verification plan
• Participate in the emulation platform development and lab debugging
• Participate in synthesis, static timing analysis, DFT
• Assist in the development of embedded FW
REQUIREMENTS:
• Total engineering minimum experience required is typically a BS degree and 9 years of experience, an MS degree and 6 years of experience or a PhD and 3 years of experience or equivalent.
• Education degree should be in EE (Electrical Engineering) or CS (Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of communication systems and high speed digital circuit design.
• Strong analytical, and problem solving skills as well as hands-on lab debugging skills.
• Excellent knowledge of RTL simulation and synthesis.
• In-depth knowledge for design for low power and design for test and design for manufacturing.
• Good Knowledge in languages relevant to the ASIC development process including Verilog, VHDL, Unix Scripting, C and System C.
• Working experience needs to demonstrate the technical expertise in successful completion of multiple VLSI projects.
• Experience with the following areas in design and verification is a plus:
o Systems with Embedded ARM processors
o Systems using communication systems/protocols such as Bluetooth, Wifi , FM/RDS, UART, SDIO, SPI, I2C and I2S
o High-level Synthesis
• Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and ability to excel in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
