Chemonics seeks a director for our Office of Business Conduct (OBC) department. OBC promotes honest and responsible business practices and works to ensure that company activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. It increases awareness of key business integrity issues in our international development work, manages and responds to corporate business conduct concerns, and fosters an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct. The director will strengthen our business conduct program; ensure that company activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; and address business integrity issues, providing advice, training, and communications to ensure employees are aware of, understand, and adhere to Chemonics’ standards of business conduct. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.


Responsibilities include:

•Advise management on corporate compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards

•Conceptualize and implement corporate strategies for Chemonics’ global business conduct program

•Advise corporate ethics officer, executive management team, and regional business units on ethical compliance and legal requirements

•Oversee internal and external investigations of business conduct concerns, including liaising with the Office of Inspector General

•Provide guidance to home-office staff and project leaders to reinforce honest and responsible business practices

•Manage system for seeking advice and reporting potential misconduct

•Manage corporate-wide ethics training programs, global communications, the Quality Management System and other corporate ethics resources, and the issue reporting mechanisms available to staff


Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a relevant technical field

•Minimum 10 years of technically relevant work experience

•Understanding of and ability to research FAR, AIDAR, USC, CFR, DCAA, Federal Sentencing Guidelines, and other federal regulations and laws

•Knowledge of international development strongly preferred, as well as knowledge of areas in which Chemonics works such as supply chain management, private sector development, and democracy and governance

•Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
