CARE USA is seeking an Online Content Production Coordinator. In this new role, you will be a part of the CARE digital team, reporting to the User Experience Manager and supporting the Social Strategies Manager & Online Acquisition Manager. You will be responsible for producing compelling multimedia content, maintaining & refreshing CARE.org (and other online venues), and helping source/assemble content for digital marketing campaigns. You should be energetic, adept at multi-tasking in a matrixed organization and willing to do whatever it takes to get things done. You should be obsessive about compelling content, digital user experience & passionate about CARE’s mission to end global poverty.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
· Produce compelling multimedia content to support fundraising, web & social engagement, advocacy and other communications objectives
· Work closely with in-house teams (PSI; Branding & Comms) to source text, images & video content for CARE.org and other venues, and related online campaigns
· Execute ad-hoc content updates on CARE.org and other venues
· Monitor CARE.org for broken links, typos, obsolete content, missing/out-of-date downloads, SEO tags etc.
· Write and/or produce/manage email campaign content
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Know-How):
· Bachelor’s degree required (equivalent combination of education plus experience in online content development/production will be considered)
· 2 years’ experience
· Experience in creating, producing and managing website content (landing pages, articles, blog posts)
· Experience developing content for email campaigns
· Experience with HTML/CSS and Photoshop (or other image editing software)
· Familiarity with CMS & E-commerce platforms (preferably Drupal, Luminate/Convio & BigCommerce)
· Knowledge of SEO best practices applied to all content
· Web & tech savvy with basic understanding of Web analytics & data visualization
· Copywriting ability combining journalistic/marketing style with excellent spelling/grammar
· Familiarity with E-commerce, mobile, online PR & social media best practices and techniques
· Comfortable liaising across departments to source & edit raw content
· Ability to work well in teams and with international relief & development/humanitarian work
· Excellent organization and communication skills (both written and oral)
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in online content development required
