Broadcom’s radio team is responsible for various radio architectures and design including for all types of wireless communication. These transceivers reside on various SOCs either standalone or in combination with other radios.






As a member of our team, you would be responsible to design low power, low cost building blocks and sub-systems while maintain world class performance. This will involve working with system engineers to create innovative architectures, implementing state-of-the-art circuits for its building blocks, and verifying functionality of blocks and sub-systems. These circuits will include all RF receiver chains: LNA, mixers, and filters; transmit chains: filters, mixers, PAs; synthesizers: VCOs, PLLs; mixed signal calibration circuitry, and power supply and core bias blocks. You may help with transistor modeling for RF design, RF board and module design, and lab characterizations.






Responsibilities include:






•Defining specs for building blocks and sub-system






•Design of blocks using cadence and version control tools: schematics based simulation, layout floor plan, extraction based simulation.






•Matching the simulation performances to measurement.






•Verification of design for reliability and robustness for high manufacturing yield






•Ensuring a robust performance in reference and customer platforms.






 






• This position typically requires a BSEE degree with 9-12+ years of relevant work experience, or an MSEE with 6-9+ years, or a PhD with 3-6+ years of experience (Masters or PhD preferred)






• Experience in analog/RF IC design






• Have well-rounded CMOS analog/RF design experience on multiple transceiver blocks from among ADC/DAC, analog baseband, receive frontend, transmit chain, and synthesizers






•System-level specification, floor planning, characterization, and productization experience is highly desired






• Good written and verbal communication skills






• Positive attitude and ready to work in at team
