Candidate will join our in Settop Box Reference Software team located in Irvine, California. Candidate will work on various software task to assist senior software engineers. Software tasks includes but not limited to the following:
– Test Settop Box Reference Software Releases under Linux
– Develop test scripts to automate test
– Perform compliance test for transmitter/receiver devices – Investigate issues found during test
– Create test reports
– Develop Perl programs
– Develop automated unit test for testing Settop Box
– Reproduce and debug customer issues on reference software/hardware platforms
– Currently pursuing BS or MS in CS, or EE – 3.0 GPA or higher
– Must be familiar with Linux, C/C++ programming language, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
– Should have completed classes in: Data Structure, C and/or C++ programming language, and Operating System design
– Experience with Bash and Perl scripting languages; MPEG, HDMI, and Multimedia Container such as AVI, ASF, and MKV are desirable
– Ability to work independently with little supervision.
