The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Controls access and security of facility lobby. Obtains visitor’s name and records in visitor log along with nature of business, time and name of host visitor wishes to see. Confirms security clearance, when applicable, and issues visitor badge. Directs visitors to destination where no escort is required or calls host to escort visitor. Checks each employee for display of company badge.
2. Issues temporary badges to employees who have forgotten their badge. Records employee’s name, employee number and date of issue in log.
3. Operates telephone console to make connections and relay calls. Supplies information to callers such as telephone numbers of other Company facilities. Records and relays messages to appropriate employees. May keep log of calls placed.
4. Maintains current telephone listing of employees. Removes terminated employees from telephone file and adds new employees’ names, extension numbers and locations.
5. May be responsible for maintaining schedule of conference rooms. May monitor facsimile machine, notifying recipient when message is received.
6. May perform light clerical tasks such as ordering office supplies, typing, and sorting mail and affixing proper postage.
7. Assist security staff with management of security management system in respect to incoming visitor requests.
8. Scan security related documents for entrance into the security management system.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education:
High School diploma and some related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
