We’re looking for a talented engineer to help design the next generation of cable, satellite, and terrestrial receivers and modems.
Job Description:
- Design, verify and test digital/analog communication systems and subsystems for various communications and broadcasting standards including wireless, cable, and satellite communications
- Experience in developing, simulating and testing receiver/transmitter algorithms
- Design, verify and test various calibration and compensation algorithms for mixed-signal/RF systems, working closely with the RF and mixed-signal teams to optimize the overall system for optimal power and complexity
- Specify the hardware/software partition for various algorithms and collaborate with hardware/firmware implementation teams to ensure the correct implementation
- Expertise on firmware development, Digital Signal Processor (DSP) programming/optimization, efficient and low power system design techniques is a strong plus
- DSP/CPU hardware/firmware expertise a big plus
- Ability to work closely within cross-functional engineering teams consisting of Communications Systems, RFIC, ASIC, SW and lab testing
Job Requirements:
- PhD in related field with 3 years of experience or Masters degree with 6 years of experience
- Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of communications systems and digital signal processing
- Proficient in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++
- Experience of Digital Signal Processor (such as TI, CEVA or Tensilica DSP) is a plus
- Knowledge of Linux, version control (SVN/GIT) software, scripting, RTOS is a plus
- Excellent communication, planning, coordination skills, highly self-motivated
- Team player with a results-oriented altitude
- The ideal candidate will be versatile, take initiative and have the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
