The Unit Coordinator for CCP"s Director, Research and Evaluation and Business Development and External Affairs Divisions will provide general administrative management, operational and knowledge management services. Specifically, the Unit Coordinator for these groups will:
CCP Director:
- Track and support implementation of special CCP initiatives
- Maintain Director"s schedule based on an understanding of strategic priorities and assist with scheduling
- Track and enhance salary allocationprocess
- Develop and manage system for organizing information on center-wide outputs and results
- Business Development and External Affairs
- Establish, maintain and update system for managing new business processes and filing
- Systematize and manage updates of key business development documents (CVs, Past Performance References, Cape Statements, etc.)
- Research new business related issues (organizational information, topical information, etc.)
- Manage proposal production process
Research and Evaluation:
- Assist Division Director and Deputy with records management, salary allocation table, and other administrative requirements related to Division operations
- Track and disseminate Research and Evaluation staff"s publications
- Organize meetings and documentation
- Qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree in business, finance accounting, or other related field required. Two years progressively responsible professional-level administrative or financial experience related to monetary or non-monetary resources of a department, center or unit required. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical and research skills. Superior critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to lead, manage and foster cooperative and effective working relationships. Ability to handle extreme pressure while working in a fast paced environment.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Suite. Familiarity with SharePoint and Desktop Publishing Software a plus. Experience working on international projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Knowledge of family planning, reproductive health, and related public health and development issues is a plus. Proficiency in a foreign language (French or Spanish preferred) would be a plus.

During the Influenza ("the flu") season, as a condition of employment, The Johns Hopkins Institutions require all employees who provide ongoing services to patients or work in patient care or clinical care areas to have an annual influenza vaccination or possess an approved medical or religious exception. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment.
The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
