Essential Functions:
• Responsible for identifying dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.
• Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
• Use diverse, cutting edge electronic detection and imaging equipment.
• Perform pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines, baggage screening and ticket review as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Travel Required:
• A minimum of two (2) weeks of travel will be required to complete TSA’s New Hire training. The training location will be away from San Francisco airport. Employees will be paid for compensable hours and reimbursed for authorized travel expenses per CAS Travel Policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a US citizen
• Must be proficient in the English language (i.e. able to read, write, speak and listen)
• Must be 18 or older
• Must pass a Drug Screening and Medical Evaluation
• Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a Credit and Criminal Background check
• No default on $7,500 or more in delinquent debt
• Must be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Job requires standing 100% of time
