The HR Administrator supports the human resource management team in providing comprehensive HR service to managers, staff and employees within the organization. They will be responsible for performing administrative, analytical and clerical support for all aspects of human resources; including but not limited to benefits, compensation, HRIS, compliance, recruitment/employment, employee and labor relations, worker’s compensation, safety, training and development, and shared services.
Job Description
- HR contact for employees inquiring about issues such as, but not limited to: attendance points, leave of absence, compensation/benefits, policy administration, staffing, training and various employee relations concerns
- Various administrative tasks such as, leave of absence program, support attendance and progressive discipline record keeping activities; coordinate recruiting and staffing efforts, job postings, application screening, background verifications; coordinate training materials, support various company training programs, data input, manage paperwork and tracking systems; office maintenance, filing, audit preparation, ad-hoc report creation and data analysis. Ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality maintaining the filing system of personnel.
- Assist in new hire orientation, conducts presentations and process new hire on boarding
- Support and coordinate various activities to assess and improve employee engagement, employee relation activities, recognition programs and events
- Assist with the development, collection and distribution of employee communication materials
- Maintain, distribute and track various mechanisms such as security clearance badges, parking permits, employee lockers, uniforms, shoes. Work with and maintain relationships with outside vendors such as temporary labor agencies, uniform and shoe agencies
- Provides support to Safety Supervisor with safety record keeping and tracking
- Cross-train other HR administrative staff responsibilities and assist with HR process improvement initiatives
- Assist and coordinate miscellaneous Human Resources related projects and other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- HR Admin I: High School diploma or equivalent required and at least 1-2 years experience in business field or equivalent work experience.
- HR Admin II: Associates Degree in business field or equivalent work experience and at least 1-2 years experience.
- Prior experience with HRIS, SAP, Kronos, Database and applicant tracking systems preferred
- Ability to handle large work load with high level of speed and accuracy; work independently and multi-task
· Professional demeanor and demonstrated high level of customer service and confidentiality
- Strong clerical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Consistent timely follow-up and excellent attention to detail
- Employee relations experience supporting professional staff
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
