The Bureau of Transportation plans to fill two vacancies on the Parking Meter Shop Team. This team is part of the bureau’s Parking Operations Division, responsible for the on-street and off-street public parking system. The Parking Pay Station Technician operates, maintains, upgrades and repairs parking pay stations; working with other Parking Pay Station Technicians, Maintenance Operations, Parking Control and Parking Enforcement to install, maintain, operate, and repair City parking equipment; provides quality customer service. This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, work outdoors making intricate repairs in all weather, and to walk, stand and carry tools and materials for several hours at a time. Parking Pay Station Technicians are self-motivated; work independently, have an exemplary work and driving record, wear a uniform and badge while working and follow strict security controls.
