We are looking for a versatile and self-motivated 3D artist. This is a great opportunity for an artist with strong conceptual skills-who can then turn around and make that vision a reality.
You should be skilled in creating 3D content for real-time rendering. You are up to date and knowledgeable about trends in 3D creation, real time content and real time engines. You are able to create organic and hard surface models in a variety of styles and uses. You have a strong eye for color, form and composition. You should have a strong understanding of pipeline and workflow tools and methods.
You should be able to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt gracefully to changing requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality artwork within technical budgets and aggressive deadlines
- Adapt to different visual styles and storytelling genres
- Be creative in bringing ideas and inspiring the team
- Create optimized high-quality organic and hard surface low and high poly 3D models in diverse styles for real-time rendering within the technical restrictions of the hardware
- Create 2D textures from hand and from captured images for real-time rendering in diverse styles
- Iterate in low fidelity to arrive at the best possible design-then execute at high fidelity to create and deliver shipping quality visuals and content
- Collaborate in making art and experience prototypes with cross discipline peers
- Take ownership of vision and work through completion; seek out and implement feedback to constantly improve and refine content
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in creative development using 3D and 2D applications to build content for multiple shipped products
- 3+ years working in Unity, Unreal or equivalent engine
- Proficient with industry standard 3D tools like Maya, Softimage, or Houdini and Adobe Creative Suite
Extra credit for:
- Strong traditional art skills and storytelling savvy
- Experience with animation
- Graphic design sensibilities with a passion for layout, composition, typography, order and motion graphics
