Technical Program Manager

Sr. Project Manager level (7-10+ years of experience with direct project management, preferably in a legal environment, business process analysis, tool development and/or implementation).  

Job responsibilities include:

1. Coordination between IT resources and vendors to effectively manage ongoing project initiatives

2. Establish stable Plan of Record (POR): ensure roadmap/requirements baseline, project priorities, change control, and driving synchronization across several development teams.

3. Ability to effectively capture detailed requirements and translate them into developer speak.

4. IT/Legal project planning and management.   PM Responsibilities Include:

a. Project estimation, planning, schedule, resource management and prioritization.

b. Drive planning/scheduling: develop and maintain program master schedules and milestones, budgets, work plans and resource requirements.

c. Project issues management: risk management, change control and escalation management. Must be able to proactively drive and solve problems to solutions.

d. Establish routine update & communication process: update status, schedule trends vs. baseline, risk management, mitigation and recovery actions. Develop program indicators to push information to internal teams and management.

e. Motivation of project team, calling and chairing progress review meetings and design reviews

5. Business process analysis - coordinate, document and define workflow procedural materials

6. Report Management - coordination and management of business reports from various business tools

7. Planning & road mapping of tools

8. Basic patent legal knowledge, and legal project management experience required

9. Strategic planning support based on input from the business - incorporates tools & processes

10.   Tools expertise, and experience with Anaqua or other IP docketing/workflow systems preferred

11. IT strength in coordinating and implementing tools, UAT coordination and requirements tracking

12. Strong impact analysis

13. Proactive with ability to coordinate short/long term planning and resolve technical challenges across functional groups and regions
