The Relevance Infrastructure team in IPG is tasked with developing products supporting development, analysis and release of machine learning components for the next wave of speech, intent, and relevance technologies. We invest in a variety of projects supporting initiatives from Search to Cortana to Windows 10 and Xbox One. The AEther team in Bellevue is responsible for designing and delivering a cloud based experimentation platform capable of supporting executions of millions of experiments and support thousands of customers across Microsoft.
We are talking about distributed systems running on thousands of servers and operating with Petabytes of data across several data centers. We have a wide variety of services with purpose ranging from job scheduling to data storage to usage accounting, utilizing mix of proprietary and external technologies. All combined to create a unique state-of-the art infrastructure for relevance engineers and data scientists.
We are looking for experienced and passionate engineers to help define and build out the next generation of experimentation capabilities in AEther, in term of scale, reliability and rich functionalities. The right candidates will some experience designing and building distributed frameworks, familiarity with data analysis approaches, strong coding, testing, and debugging skills, the ability to work in an agile environment and a strong service oriented mentality. Additional skills include:
- At least 3 years of development experience
- Strong design, coding (C++, or C#, or Java) and debugging skills
- Ability to act in an agile environment
- Experience with SQL database is a plus
A BA/BS degree in CS or related technical discipline is required.
