Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure and Operations is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. The team is responsible for designing, building and operating our unified global datacenters; managing the demand planning and capacity utilization of our unified infrastructure; and responsible for all of the operations needed to run the physical infrastructure (including supply chain, hardware, power, security, and workflow teams). We are looking for a passionate, high energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services. The IT Program Manager reports to the Regional Datacenter Manager or to the Regional Operations Manager. The IT Program Manager is responsible for managing, prioritizing, and turn-up of all client product launches and server deployments for the datacenters in the Regions. This position represents the ultimate technical authority for all server deployments in the datacenters and works closely with the Critical Environment teams to ensure a smooth launch and transition of all client properties. The IT Program Manager acts as a facilitator and a quality assurance officer ensuring all builds are following established standards and processes.
This position requires a detailed understanding of server and IT based technologies with a penchant for process and procedure. In addition to these basic skills the candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excel at project management and be willing to review in detail the work performed by others to ensure adherence to established standards.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

- 3 years' experience, Project Management
- 4 years' experience, troubleshooting complex technical issues
- 4 years' experience, Internet technology and environment experience
Significant work experience in a production, mission-critical, revenue-dependent, 24x7 server environment.
Significant experience working with server technologies.
Detailed knowledge on installation and troubleshooting of core computer components, network equipment, disk and storage area networks.
Significant work experience in:
- web technologies and large scale web operations deployments, three tier web architecture and the ability to describe web, application, and database functions.
-how the Internet works.
-network technologies, routers, switches
Understanding and knowledge in copper and optic cable insfrastructure.
Ability to develop detailed project plans and manage large-scale server deployments and IT related projects.
Perform Quality Assurance function in support of ensuring quality in vendor deployments.
Proven ability to:
-deliver projects on-time and adherence to deadlines,
-motivate disparate teams both direct and indirect to solve issues.
