We are looking to recruit an experienced Operations Assistant to join our busy team within our growing National Out of Hours Operation based in Hemel Hempstead.


As a member of the Out of Hours Team you will be providing effective management of Service Level Agreements and Standard Operational Procedures across various disciplines within this fast paced operational and call centre environment.


The hours of work are 08:00 – 18:00 every Saturday and Sunday with the opportunity of regular overtime throughout the week, subject to availability.


Key Responsibilities


  • Every job is taken accurately in accordance with agreed Standard Operating Procedures.

  • All bookings are collected and delivered within agreed service levels.

  • Ensuring all Service Centres provide adequate resource to maintain service and commercial targets are achieved.

  • All jobs are proactively monitored and where delays occur the customer is informed and the jobs updated.

  • Where adequate resource or information is not available this is escalated to the relevant Service Centre Manager.

  • Use the most efficient courier choice – Back-load couriers always have priority – Reduce Dead Miles & Increase Margins.

Skills/ Abilities


  • Must be computer literate and comfortable learning new packages.

  • Fast accurate keyboard skills and attention to detail in data entry

  • Efficient, professional and customer focused telephone manner

  • Effective communication skills

  • Able to work within a fast paced and pressured environment without constant supervision
