The ICAP/ PEPFAR Quality and Quality Improvement (QI) Training Course is a mixed-methods training, incorporating in-person and distance learning methods, for mid-level US Government and Ministry employees in multiple African countries.
ICAP at Columbia University seeks a NY-based, part-time temporary Meeting Assistant (Short-Term Casual) to assist with planning and organizing various portions of the course.
This position is grant funded.

Duties include:
- Develop and/or update the course website(s) (most likely Wikispaces)
- Prepare packages of materials for attendees, including formatting, proofing/editing, printing and assembly of participant guides, trainer manuals, handouts, name badges, and other materials
- Coordinate rooming/hotel accommodations and travel for ICAP staff and other course faculty
- Work directly with hotel and ICAP staff to plan and manage event logistics, including meeting rooms, equipment, food, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor"s degree or the equivalent in a combination of education and directly related work experience Experience, Skills & Minimum Required Qualifications
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills
- Ability to work independently and manage various tasks in a team setting on a daily basis
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Wikispaces.com preferred
- Interest in quality improvement may be helpful
