This is a full time non-exempt position.
Job Description:
Work in a quality control laboratory supporting Soybean Extraction Crush Plant, Oil Refinery preparing feedstock for Biodiesel Plant, and Biodiesel Plant. Master the basic skills needed to accurately analyze production samples for all 3 plants.
• Prepare and analyze process and finished product samples.
• Report and summarize analytical results in computerized data systems.
• Generate accurate documentation
• Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on lab instrumentation.
• Focus on safety, quality and integrity.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma with 2 years of lab experience preferred. Candidate should be familiar with operating standard lab equipment. Basic knowledge of chemistry and/or biology is a plus. Familiarity with personal computers is also beneficial. Experience with GC, ICP and titrations a plus. Ability to multi-task and work without immediate supervision is required.
Applicant must have regular, prompt attendance. Must be able to stand for long periods and have good physical dexterity; i.e. bend, kneel and lift ~50#
Must be willing to work 12 hour night shift. Also holidays, overtime, and weekends as needed.
