Description
Key Role:
Work as a defense expert and senior exercise planner with concentration as a Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) planner and scenario developer for military exercises and training. Perform leadership roles during the planning and execution of major military exercise events, including senior control, scenario manager, or other key exercise control group roles. Conduct client-directed planning and support to Joint Exercise Program (JEP) events, including a detailed analysis of Joint Mission Essential Tasks (JMET)-based training objectives, develop exercise control design and architecture, facilitate and lead scenario development and execution, and provide post exercise analysis for future Joint exercise development. Supervise or assist with the development of Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) for Joint exercises. Assist with the development of senior leader table top exercises, including execution of the event and after action reporting. Lead the development of proposals, whitepapers, project plans, studies, and analysis to define and win new projects. Provide program management and project management leadership to matrixed team of experts. This position is located in Honolulu, HI.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: -8+ years of experience with the military in Joint or combined operations-Experience with Joint or combined exercise design and development-Experience with Master Scenario Event List (MSEL)-Experience with basic computer applications, including PC and Microsoft products and databases-Experience with preparing senior leadership briefings-Knowledge of Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes and doctrine-Knowledge of scenario design in command post exercises (CPX)-Knowledge of Joint training doctrine and UJTL/JMETL-TS/SCI clearance required-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications: -2+ years of experience in the USPACOM area of operations (AOR)-1+ years of experience with Joint or combined exercise design and development-Experience with Table Top Exercise Development or facilitation-Experience with After Action Review team participation or a in a leadership role-Ability to perform frequent travel and short-term 24 hour operations-Joint Professional Military Education Phase II (JPME II)-War College
