Call Center Attendant job - Boca Raton Regional Hospital - Boca Raton, FL





The Call Center Attendant answers all incoming telephone calls on a 40 line switchboard for all Center for Hematology Oncology (CHO) sites and ensures registrations, demographics and insurance information is accurate.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Possess knowledge of or ability to learn the HBOC Star Registration System.


  • Schedule multiple appointments for the CHO locations.


  • Confirm all MD/NP/PA visits.


  • Maintain cancellation list for all locations.


  • Make note of reasons for physicians/ARNP/PA changes in schedules.


  • Provide administrative support to the physicians/NP/PA and departments.


  • Obtain/enter accurate demographic and insurance information into computer system.


  • Answer all incoming calls within established standards and efficiently route calls to appropriate departments/sites.


  • Communicate all patient messages and requests via e-mail to physician/NP/PA/Triage RN and various departments.


  • Expected to reschedule and call appointments in the computer, contingent on physician or office schedule changes.


  • Communicate any patient demographic or insurance information changes to the business office prior to patient presenting for an appointment.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


  • Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training

*Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites.
