Provides Client Services:
a. Meets, interviews and directs public health clients per program policies.
b. Processes information, completes medical record and updates client profile in Client Automated Encounter System (CARES).
c. Enters all client information into applicable electronic applications to include CARES, PATS, Private Pay and TBCIS.
d. Answers telephone and schedules appointments in CARES, as needed.
e. Screens and updates eligibility based on program requirements/guidelines.
f. Adheres to Third Party/Private Pay policies when applicable.
g. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish/English. One (1) year experience with health/medical records. One (1) year experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or other third party insurance billing. Public health department experience and/or medical office experience. Customer service experience.
Additional Comments:
Must have a valid driving license, satisfactory driving record, and use of a personal vehicle. This position will be located at SC DHEC Midlands Public Health Region, Chester County Health Department in Chester, South Carolina.
