The Admission Associate for Green Trees will report to the Director of Admission and will work as a team with the rest of the admission office. In addition, this person will have a strong relationship with the Green Trees Early Childhood Center team, as well as with members of the Green Trees admission committee. In addition to admission responsibilities, this individual will participate fully in the life of the School.
This person needs to be positive, upbeat, and energetic and must enjoy working with people and young children. Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence are essential in this position. The ideal candidate also has an understanding of best practices in both admission and early childhood education and understands the culture and priorities of our school community – strong relationships and high expectations. This person will inspire families to want to join the Newman school community.
An important dimension of the position is working closely with parents of young children and understanding that all parents bring a wide range of emotions when selecting a school for their child. Organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines are critical to the position. This person also must demonstrate a commitment to professional development by keeping abreast of current trends in early childhood education and admissions.
This person will respond to inquiries for information on both admission procedures and educational philosophy for Green Trees, as well as organize and lead programs to attract applicants. (This includes open houses, tours, and family interviews.)
This person will handle all data entry and file management for applications, enrollment, and re-enrollment to Green Trees through the school’s database, Whipple Hill.
This is a part-time (10 month position) with negotiable hours ranging from 20-30 hours/week.
