CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE job - Wake County Government - Raleigh, NC

This position will serve as the primary person receiving customers seeking assistance from the Crisis Intervention Program (CIP), Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) and TANF Emergency Assistance Program.

Performs routine and moderate to complex administrative tasks to ensure efficient daily departmental operations. Assignments may include reception duties and functioning as department initial point of contact. Assists with special projects and duties as requested, performing research, gathering materials and collecting and entering data.


NOTE: A criminal background check will be conducted.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies


Requires strong computer skills, including: State and County systems (Advantage Financial, CIP, Lotus Notes, Rightfax, SharePoint, Prime and NCFAST); Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.


Requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficient in computer data entry.
