Operators provide telephone-based support and response to patients, families, visitors, employees and physicians of McLeod Health. Operators are responsible for accurately connecting, assessing, and responding to all caller requests for McLeod Regional Medical Center and McLeod Medical Center Darlington as well as serving as the after hours answering service for many departments and physicians. Operators will be responsible for accurately dispatching all patient codes and works closely with security and plant operations for appropriate facilities issue resolution. Work Schedule: Full Time 72 Hours Biweekly. Rotating shifts. Education/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required, associates degree or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years switchboard, dispatch, or front office experience required. Minimum 1 year of data entry experience required as keyboarding is integral to speed in this position. Advanced knowledge of Windows based computers required. Verbal communication skills with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds required. Proficiency in basic office equipment (i.e multi-line phone, fax, copier, printer) required. Experience in a call center environment preferred. Experience with Lotus Notes preferred.
