Near field communications (NFC) is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based technology that allows the secure transmission of data between devices that are in close proximity. Mobile payments have been widely touted as the killer application for NFC, but the proliferation of NFC is poised to expand the usefulness of smartphones and inspire a range of new applications that create simple, secure connections between devices, such as sending video directly to your Smart TV with a simple tap.
– Assisting Application Engineers in duplicating technical issues on software and hardware and logging them into the issue tracking database.
– Using air sniffer and other equipment to capture communication traffic between devices.
– Analyzing different traces to debug NFC/BT firmware issues.
– Developing and maintaining Bluetooth/WLAN-COES/NFC testbeds and tools for automated sanity tests.
– Generating Bluetooth/NFC configuration releases to support different customer requirements.
– Major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Senior undergraduate or graduate student with at least 6 months before graduation
– Good programming skills with C/C++ and Perl
– Knowledge and experience of using oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and other hardware tools and equipment.
