Job Number 2313101 The GE Transportation Manufacturing Apprentice Program develops individuals for management positions in a Lean Manufacturing and Assembly Environment. GEMAP is a four-year program that allows members to build leadership and functional skills, through challenging rotational assignments and training. In this role Apprentices are involved in GE’s strategic initiatives, including; GE’s drive for LEAN Six Sigma. Essential Responsibilities Program Summary: Intensive four-year entry level program with seven rotational assignments Possible assignments include; Manufacturing Shop Operations, Six Sigma, Materials Management, and Quality Mentoring, teamwork, and ongoing reviews Training at Erie Institute of Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology Associates Degree from Penn State Behrend Training in Lean Six Sigma, Materials Management, Quality, and Operations Qualifications/Requirements High School Graduate Eligibility Requirements: Willingness and ability to work in Manufacturing environment Willingness and ability to work days and attend school in the evenings Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
