RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
International Resources Group (IRG), an Engility Company, seeks a Senior Level Energy Training Managerfor a USAID-funded project based in Washington DC. The Training Manager will support USAID through a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing a training needs assessment to identify appropriate training;
- Supervising and facilitating technical assistance-related training workshops, training materials, on-line modules as appropriate;
- Managing and guiding the team towards a consensus for on-line trainings;
- Advising on procedures for monitoring and evaluating the impact of training efforts.
- Manage and give input on the project related deliverables to the Senior Energy Specialist, Home office Energy Manager, and Senior Training Associates
MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least ten years of progressively more responsible experience working on developing and implementing training activities and have experience in developing or implementing capacity-building and institutional strengthening programs with an emphasis on adult learning both instructional (in the physical classroom) and on-line.
- Task order management experience and experience in at least one technical area related to energy/renewable energy
- Participant training experience in a developing country and USAID contexts.
- Supervisory Experience is required.
- Experience working in the energy sector and developing countries is required.
- Ph.D. or M.A. in training and development or education or related field from an accredited college or university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Energy Sector background is strongly desired.
