CARE USA is looking for a Lean Six Sigma Project Manager who will drive operational excellence and continuous improvement culture through project leadership, training, and implementation of Lean Six Sigma principles in projects and day-to-day operations of CARE. Provides leadership responsibility for overall Lean Six Sigma business process improvement project. Using the Lean Six Sigma methodology, leads, facilitates, organizes and coordinates the improvement project with CARE offices worldwide. May include management of multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborates with other Project Managers and Program Management Directors to ensure integration of projects, making recommendations to and adjusting project recommendations, scope, timing, and budgets as needed to meet the overall strategic needs of the organization. Interacts at the highest level within the organization including executive management and the Program Office. Ability to lead and manage teams through all project phases. Ability to lead/facilitate Lean Rapid Improvement Workshops. Develops regular report metrics for all functional areas as well as any internal initiatives with integration points and/or dependencies that support the successful delivery of the process improvement.
Facilitates development of the Project Charter with business sponsor to define goals, objectives and key deliverables. Responsible for all Lean Six Sigma and Project Management deliverables, which includes but is not limited to the project plan, scope, work breakdown structure, project schedule, risk and issues log, communication plan, roles and responsibilities and project budget. Ensures customer satisfaction of project outcomes by verifying that process improvement, project management and solutions deliverables are in alignment with the Project Charter. Using industry best practices for Lean Six Sigma and project management, makes certain that projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Serves as liaison between the PMO and the business units during all project phases.
Manages the review, analysis, and evaluation of the business process, working directly with various units to ensure the Lean Six Sigma methodology is applied. Trains the project team members and project sponsors in the application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Responsible for planning and controlling schedules, monitor budget/spending, assigns tasks and resources and tracks key project milestones from initiation through delivery. Area of impact is global – across departments, business units, and CARE offices worldwide.

Qualifications (Know-How):
· Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university (or equivalent degree of experience and education)
· 6 – 8 years business process improvement experience
· 6 – 8 years’ experience as project manager leading projects
· 5 – 6 years’ experience working on project teams as team member or lead
· Proficient in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
· Expert understanding and application of project management principles and methodologies
· Expert understanding and application of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools
· Demonstrate high degree of flexibility in managing changes to scope, resources and timelines
· Ability to manage the environment and motivate team members so that they feel responsible for project outcomes
· Ability to build consensus among key stakeholders
· Excellent leadership skills
· Excellent team building and management skills
· Experience in coaching and mentoring project team members
· Expertise in group facilitation methodologies, tools and techniques
· Ability to facilitate groups to identify project goals, objectives and outcomes
