Job Summary:
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is committed to attracting and retaining talented staff to serve our mission. The TA Manager will ensure alignment of talent acquisition efforts with agency strategy and workforce development goals. The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager leads a team of eight talent acquisition professionals in managing, planning, implementing and evaluating the recruiting activities for our domestic and international locations while carrying a small portfolio of requisitions.
Responsibilities:
- Set and implement a vision of operational excellence for the Talent Acquisition Team, with a focus on supporting the agency objective of reinforcing a culture of high performance
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the TA team (consisting of six Talent Acquisition Specialists, a TA Analyst and an Administrative Assistant)
- Design and deliver improvements to the recruiting process, with a focus on increasing customer service and developing a robust talent pipeline
- Manage a portfolio of requisitions; conduct hiring strategy meetings, screen candidates and negotiate offers
- Lead regular TA Team meeting to provide insights and assistance on critical openings, share best practices and coordinate on major hiring initiatives
- Review and analyze TA metrics, including applicant flow, recruiting source, time-to-fill, and turnover; prepare reports for HR Directors and members of the Executive Leadership Team
- Network and collaborate with HR staff and other key stakeholders to facilitate internal placements
- Develop and manage the TA budget; ensure efficient use of resources and staff time to fill open requisitions
- Network with and learn from key players inside and outside the industry to ensure CRS remains informed and competitive
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed to Succeed:
Relevant education; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field, Master’s degree a plus
Relevant experience; seven years plus of progressively responsible talent acquisition or staffing experience including at least five years managing staff
Strong managerial skills; excellent listener who is able to coach and mentor and develop others
Customer service oriented; able to work in a multi-cultural environment and with a diverse clientele; able to cultivate new relationships and instill confidence
Strong communications and presentation skills; able to communicate persuasively, influence others, and work with technical and non-technical applicants/ staff
Technical knowledge; strong understanding of technology and its application in strategic recruiting; extensive experience with applicant tracking systems
Results driven; able to set and achieve ambitious goals
Strategic and innovative thinker; able to find creative solutions and leverage resources
Flexible and responsive; able to maintain focus in complex and fluid environments
Global perspective; appreciation for and awareness of international development (previous experience with international recruitment preferred but not required)
