Public Affairs (Part-Time Lecturer in Political Science) - California State University - Stanislaus, CA

POSITION:
Lecturer in Political Science (Part-Time): The Department of Political Science and Public Administration is developing a pool of part-time instructors to teach varied courses in Political Science. These courses consist of lower division classes–Introduction to American Government (PSCI 1201), Introduction to Political Science (PSCI 2000), and Global Politics (PSCI 2030)–and varied upper division courses in the fields of international relations and comparative politics. Applicants interested in being considered for one or more of these course assignments should address their qualifications in the application letter. This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MA in Political Science or Master of Public Administration with a BA in Political Science


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ABD or PhD in Political Science with the appropriate specialization in American politics, international relations, or comparative politics depending on the specific course to be taught. Successful and effective college-level teaching experience. Strong academic accomplishment in a Political Science or Public Administration graduate program.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE

The university requires a criminal background check to be completed for all of its new employees, current employees seeking promotional or transfer opportunities, and current employees assigned new duties.
