5 day TK teacher - South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church - Charlotte, NC

SMP Preschool is looking for a highly qualified and dedicated early childhood educator to join our preschool family as a lead teacher in our TK class. The ideal candidate would be an excellent communicator who can motivate, inspire and challenge all children in a developmentally appropriate way in a nurturing and creative environment. This is a 5 day program. Work hours will be 8:45 to 1:00pm.
Education and experience


  • BA in education or early childhood development related degree.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher in a TK program or K-5 school.

Classroom qualifications


  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of a developmental approach to learning.

  • Be able to effectively meet the social, emotional and intellectual development of all students in the classroom.

  • Be able to provide positive guidance to all students

  • Show evidence of strong positive student and classroom management.

Other requirements


  • A criminal background check will be performed.
