Must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children, especially in the field of early childhood education or development and able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency. Must be able to relate well to children and adults. Requirements 1. Must have twelve postsecondary semester units or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development completed at an accredited or approved college or university. 2. Must have at least six months of work experience at a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program. 3. Must maintain current basic life support certification with first aide. 4. Must have documentation of attendance at a health and nutrition class from an accredited college/university. |
