Job Description

Strong opportunity for a self-starter to sell through distributors in New York City in the coated abrasives market. Direct industry experience not necessary; however, Automotive Aftermarket, paint manufacturing, PBE distributor, or collision center experience STRONGLY preferred.

Base salary is $50k-$55k based on experience

First year earnings projected at $70k-$90k.

Key responsibilities:


  • Existing account maintenance and growth

  • Prospecting for new business within dedicated sales region

  • Generating new leads and closing new business opportunities

  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences as needed

  • Provide call reports, monthly updates, report any key market intelligence data collected, document leads, new customer information, etc.

You must:


  • Demonstrate ability to build and nurture distributor relationships

  • Be an entrepreneurial, assertive self-starter who is results driven while still valuing the team

  • Show how quickly you can learn a new industry if you don’t have direct experience

  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
