Duties:
The Pulmonologist evaluates and treats pulmonary and sleep conditions on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Outpatient clinics will be held on both the Montgomery and Tuskegee campuses. Traditional and non-traditional modalities of care will be used. The Pulmonologist must have critical care skills, interpret PFTs and sleep studies and perform procedures including but not limited to CVP placement, intubation, bronchoscopy, etc. The Pulmonologist may be assigned to act as the ICU Director/Attending duties in the absence of the ICU Director. The Pulmonologist rotates on-call with one other Pulmonologist on a regular basis. He/She also may work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as priorities demonstrate a need. * Direct Patient Care. * Customer Service. * Quality management/Performance improvement. * Utilization review and management. * Evidence-based practice * Administrative and other functions as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with on-call duties on the weekend, night and holiday coverage as necessary
