Duties:
Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform medical examinations either face to face or via video telehealth on all body systems, including the ordering and interpretation of tests as necessary to provide a diagnosis utilizing templates and guidelines provided by the VA.
- Supervision, education and evaluation of Internal Medicine residents and medical students in the outpatient Primary Care setting.
- Review and management of test result alerts for absent providers.
- Provide patient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence.
- Involvement in quality improvement monitoring and initiatives.
- Proficient in the use of computerized/electronic medical records.
- Must maintain privileges at all times at the Syracuse VA Medical Center to be able to work as a physician.
