Duties:
PART TIME Physician position is located in Ambulatory Care Service Line, Primary Care Section at the Raymond G. Murphy New Mexico VAMC, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incumbent serves as a Primary Care Physician. Duties include but are not limited to: providing comprehensive outpatient care for a panel of adult patients through a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Model, also utilizing Tele-health as a resource of providing care. Serves as a provider who is highly skilled in the management of a patient’s primary care needs or sub specialty evaluation and treatment; responsible to contribute to the achievement of quality of care standards, efficiency, process improvement and patient satisfaction; writes orders for diagnostic testing prescribed medications and consultation to specialty services utilizing computer-keyboarding techniques. The incumbent is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, values, and with a commitment to service excellence. Must be Board Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine. Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine highly desired. Not a J-1 opportunity. This position may be subject to criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law. This position is subject to background investigation and physical examination. This position is a drug testing position. Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
