Account Manager
My client is a promotional gifts company solutions provider. They provides a full range of promotional, merchandising gifts from core items to be-spoke gifts. Fast moving fun environment creating promotional gifts, branded merchandise and be-spoke items and gadgets.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Account Manager to deliver the day to day operational management of the production cycle of a range of point of sale, merchandising gifts, gagets promotioonal and branded itemes.
The role will involve liaison with client to fulfil
their product requirements, working directly with suppliers and other
business units to source products, dealing with issues regarding artwork, production and brand management, together with managing the provision of management information and ensuring all account KPIs are achieved.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate
Knowledge of Merchandise & POS items
Quality and process management skills for Merchandise &
POS
Cold calling for new business and manage exisiting business
Able to Identify opportunities within client to capture
additional spend
Able to develop a good understanding of core brands and apply
this to projects
Able to add value and project manage meetings, taking
clear actions from the meeting to drive projects forward and achieve results
A clear head when working under pressure in a challenging
environment with multiple time demands/projects
Effective negotiation skills
Determined, ‘can do’ attitude
A knowledge of global logistics and trading would be a huge
advantage
The main purpose of the role is to generate sales and build a client
base to achieve sales targets.
Key Accountabilities
• Cold and warm calling to generate enquiries/interest and
build client base
• Send quotations and product ideas as requested by customers
and prospective customers
• Arrange and attend customer meetings to discuss services/products
• Liaise with suppliers and customers to achieve customer
requirements
• Source products from UK, Europe and Far East with assistance
initially
• Maintain prospect and customer relationships
• Work within sales team to achieve individual and team
objectives
• Attend industry exhibitions and events on occasions
• Deal with queries and complaints on the telephone, by email
and in person if required
• Regularly feedback on pipeline and prospects in sales
meetings
