Requires HS diploma/GED and completion of a 45-hour entry-level course or an approved 3-credit early care and education course or equivalent approved by the NM Children, Youth & Families Department prior to or within 6 months of hire; OR HS diploma/GED and a Child Development Associate(CDA) credential; OR 1-year certificate in Early Childhood Education; OR degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Social Work, or related field. A degree is considered related only when it includes 6 or more courses in one of the above-mentioned fields. Experience working with families in case management or resource and referral preferred. Have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Must have valid driver’s license and may be required to use personal transportation to carry out job duties. Wage range: $10.43 to $15.37 per hour, dependent on education. Position requires successful completion of Criminal Records check. Candidates for this position must be eligible for employment as verified by the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA); those individuals on the OIG/GSA Exclusion Lists will not be considered for hire. Once hired, monthly checks will be made for eligibility of continued employment.
