Broadcom Corporation, a market leading Wireless LAN (WLAN) company based in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking highly motivated intern to work in the applications/technical marketing group. The job involves developing a database and test tools and conducting wireless LAN test and measurements including competitve analysis.






 






You will be required to develop a database, tools, and applications to automate various WLAN tests and generation of test reports. You will be required to perform a series of tests based on either a defined test plan or customer problem report in the field or comparison against competition.

Job Requirement:






 






– The selected individual must be pursuing a BS/MS degree program in computer science, electrical engineering or math.






 






– You must demonstrate hands-on knowledge and experience of Linux and Windows (XP/Vista/Win7) operating system. Knowledge of database tools is a plus.






 






– Familiar with a programming language such as Java, C/C++ and/or one or more scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, Python or TCL will be beneficial.






 






– Familiar with networking concept, configuration, and throughput testing is a big plus.






 






– Any experience in software testing techniques will be very helpful.






 






– Ability to to communicate effectively orally and in writing.






 






– Ability to work 20/40 hrs per week for a good portion of the internship.






 






– GPA 3.0 or higher.
