Help us find talent for our programs! We are a respected, nonpartisan grassroots firm that assists citizens in making their voices heard on key public policy issues. Now open is a unique, work@home, independent contracting opportunity. Recruiting Support is essential in helping us identify high-quality candidates for a range of federal, state, and local advocacy campaigns. The role is ideal for individuals with basic understanding of human resources and/or recruiting. Projects are starting now!


In this part-time, entry-level role your responsibilities would include:


  • Pre-screening applications and résumés using online applicant tracking system

  • Conducting telephone screenings using cloud-based Five9 telephony system

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records regarding all recruiting activity

  • Calling references using Five9 to verify candidates’ background

  • Interacting respectfully and professionally at all times on behalf of NextWave@Home

Requires some recruiting and/or human resources experience. Candidates MUST meet the following criteria:


  • Availability for 20+ hours per week, including some evening and weekend shifts

  • Ability to quickly comprehend and apply company policies, procedures, standards, and goals

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Articulate and professional phone presence

  • Excellent written and verbal communications in English

  • High-speed internet connection and PC as well as headset with a microphone (can be purchased at most computer stores)
