The Senior Associate will provide administrative support to two Executive Directors and a team of 3+ scientists. The position requires scheduling and arranging meetings, teleconferences, travel, expense reporting and maintaining calendars. The individual in this position must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of administration as well as internal and external collaborators.
The primary activities include:
• Expense reporting and travel arrangements
• Scheduling and logistical support for meetings
• Produces/completes various work assignments requiring independent judgment, creativity and problem solving skills, including seminar speakers and candidate interviews
• Works in teams or independently, as needed and as relevant, to complete work assignments and various tasks
• Anticipates potential problems and seeks to mitigate them
• Coordinates special projects
Qualifications
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
• Minimum eight (8) years Administrative Assistant experience
• Advanced computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and operation of other peripheral devices
• Experience scheduling and coordinating travel
• SAP experience processing Expense Reports, Purchase Orders and Payment Requests
• Professional communication skills
• Documented experience as a strong performer in your current and past positions
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s level training in secretarial & business administration or project management.
• Demonstrated multi-tasking ability
• Track record for contribution to department operational excellence initiatives
