Regional Director, North Texas (Dallas, TX)
Reporting to the Managing Director, Southwest Region, the Regional Director, North Texas will be responsible for developing an expansion strategy in North Texas and areas across the Southwest Region which will increase fundraising dramatically. The Regional Director, North Texas will engage the volunteer board of directors for North Texas; manage a portfolio of donors and prospects across the region (100-150); and identify, cultivate, and solicit high net worth individuals for the major donor program, specifically to help meet the Southwest Region’s annual fundraising goals. The Southwest Region is made up of seven states (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico).
Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
• Develop and strengthen relationships with major donors and major donor prospects in North Texas
• Oversee daily operations of the North Texas office, including supervising staff, managing public inquiries, budgets, etc.
• Grow major gift and special event revenue in North Texas and throughout the region
• Develop and implement effective strategies to steward and cultivate major donors
• Meet monthly in-person major gift meeting and solicitation goals
• Grow and manage a successful fundraising board for North Texas
• Develop a plan to support North Texans’ knowledge of and affinity towards UNICEF’s work through vehicles such as the Global Citizenship Fellows Program
• Manage special event opportunities which support the USF’s strategic plan, particularly in North Texas
• Support efforts of other USF national campaigns such as Kid Power, TAP, ELIMINATE and Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF
• Represent the Southwest Region and speak at select events, as appropriate
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of relevant development experience required; advanced degree preferred
• Must have a proven success record in major gift fundraising development and committee management
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent organizational skills
• Must possess a strong work ethic, and be a motivated, enthusiastic team player who embraces a fast pace environment as well as the mission and values of USF
• Working knowledge of Texas and Southwest Region philanthropic community is preferred
• Must demonstrate USF Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service
Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
