Job Summary
Interviews incoming patients in a non-hospital setting to obtain and enter necessary personal, financial, insurance, and/or other medical information necessary for claims processing.
Essential Functions
– Processes and maintains records.
– Functions as switchboard operator, procedure scheduler or clerical support as assigned.
– Responds to emergencies following departmental processes.
– Assists in meeting department goals and arrival accuracy.
– Assists radiology coders with document scanning.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Works in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
