Performs E-ZPass customer service transactions as well as other DMV transactions. This position delivers high quality service to customers and under general supervision, provides effective and efficient service to customers on all E-ZPass services. This is accomplished by understanding needs, determining the correct or best course of action and completing or initiating the action as required with the intent of meeting or exceeding customer expectations. All programs and services are administered in a customer service-focused manner and in accordance with statutory and administrative procedural requirements such as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, DMV policies, procedures, rules and regulations, the Privacy Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act.
Minimum Qualifications
â?¢ Provides efficient and effective service to customers and prospects on all E-ZPass based services on a variety of inquiries and customer needs. â?¢ Possesses a strong customer service focus. â?¢ Some knowledge of office operations and procedures, of computer concepts and basic accounting practices and mathematical concepts. â?¢ Working skill in basic keyboarding. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, explain and apply complex written material such as the Motor Vehicle Code, other laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures and to adapt to frequent statute, policy and procedural changes. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to analyze records, files and other documents to reach logical and legal conclusions. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to accurately perform arithmetical computations and to balance and reconcile a cash drawer. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment and to work effectively under pressure during peak workload periods. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to communicate in a courteous, professional and tactful manner, both orally and in writing, with personnel from all organizational levels and a diverse customer population. â?¢ Ability to successfully complete all required employee training as assigned. â?¢ Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. â?¢ Ability to perform work tasks at various work stations within the service center as assigned. â?¢ Must be willing to work Monday-Saturday with varying hours to meet agency business needs. â?¢ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. â?¢ Must be at least 18 years of age. â?¢ Possession of a driving record with a point balance of less than 6 demerit points and no major convictions. â?¢ Must consent to a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
– Prefer extensive work experience providing E-Z Pass customer transactions and services.
