Duties and responsibilities include:
1) Providing office management including the coordination and planning of day-to-day station operations and events;
2) Developing and refining processes to improve task efficiency and effectiveness;
3) Producing quality reports, presentations, and other documents utilizing computer software;
4) Utilizing computer equipment to record and enter, store and retrieve information;
5) Resolving discrepancies and communicating with various administrative and professional employees within and outside the company;
6) Performing complex clerical tasks requiring analysis, discretion, and detailed knowledge of applicable policies and procedures;
7) Performing confidential Human Resources duties in support of the station’s HR processes;
8) Selecting and compiling data and making calculations to translate data and information into required results;
9) Performing general office duties such as answering telephone calls and making appointments; composing correspondence; collecting and providing information on inquiries; picking up and distributing incoming mail and faxes; faxing outgoing documents; maintaining office supplies; and assisting in the maintenance of department files;
10) Performing expense entry, time reporting, purchasing reconciliation, and purchasing requisition requests through the use of SAP, and performing other duties as requested or assigned;
11) Providing data entry and word processing support;
12) Generate and maintain maintenance vacation and overtime rooster;
13) Receipt for all coal and limestone deliveries in ASR.
This position will not provide paid relocation assistance.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Job Qualifications
Required (please confirm that this information is on your resume to be considered) : The successful candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of related office/clerical experience.
Preferred: At least five (5) years such experience.
Other knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
1) Advanced skills using Microsoft Office – Excel spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, graphics, and database applications
(Prefer SAP experience);
2) Excellent written and oral communication skills;
3) Ability and comfort in interfacing regularly with the community;
4) Ability to gain a comprehensive knowledge of company and department procedures quickly;
5) Ability to quickly understand new concepts and techniques;
6) Ability to work independently, involving supervisor when necessary;
7) Able to demonstrate initiative, to recognize the need for action, and to proceed in a responsible manner;
8) Ability to organize and prioritize work and to exercise considerable discretion in performance of duties;
9) Ability to manage multiple activities and resources;
10) Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

This job requires recommended test results from Previsor Online Clerical Assessments (Proofreading, Classifying & Coding), administered on-line during the pre-employment process. The Classifying and Coding test measures the candidate’s ability to classify and code items by categories. You will have 4 minutes to answer 70 questions. The Proofreading assessment measures the candidate’s ability to read for errors involving spelling, punctuation, and grammar and word choice. It also measures the candidate’s ability to correct those errors. You will have 6 minutes to answer 60 questions.
