Reviews/analyzes reports and conducts case reviews to identify errors within various programs; provides feedback to supervisor about application of policy/identification of problem areas. Provides assistance in identifying corrective action measures to reduce error rates. Interprets policies and regulations related to program. Assists in consistent application of policies. Consults with managers, supervisors and workers in the review and evaluation of proposed policy or procedural changes related to programs. Minimal travel may be required. Position may be located in any county in the state.

Characteristics of the Class :
Provides advanced and expert knowledge of program specialties or corrective action activities for public assistance programs such as Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), Medical Assistance (MA), and Food Stamp Programs in a defined geographical region; and performs other duties as required.
Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :
Work is typically performed in an office setting. Occasional travel is necessary.

Upon appointment, employees in this class may be required to maintain a valid driver’s license and required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status may be necessary for the length of time in this class. If this is necessary it will be listed in the specific position description for that position. Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check. Applicants and employees in positions which perform job duties that may require contact with offenders in the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections or with youth in the care, custody, or supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice must meet qualifications pursuant to the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, 28 C.F.R.115.17 and 115.317.
