****POSITION SUMMARY:****


****Manager – Gift In Kind**** (“GIK”) is responsible for growing the GIK donor portfolio by researching, cultivating, and soliciting prospective donors in order to increase GIK/Cash revenue.


At the direction of the Director of GIK, this position will develop marketing tools to maximize current and prospective GIK/Cash donors; assist in development of GIK strategic plans; analyze NGO industry to remain competitive and increase corporate GIK engagement; develop business models to align with GIK/Cash requirements for Global Health and Humanitarian/Disaster programs.


This position requires consistent interaction with development and communications, global health, and logistics personnel on GIK related activities as well as domestic and/or international travel when appropriate.


****PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:****


  • Partner in the expansion of GIK donations with existing and prospective corporate donors.

  • Develop strategies resulting in increased GIK/Cash revenue.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective GIK/Cash donors/partners.

  • Manage the development of product and equipment lists for Global Health and Humanitarian/Disaster programs.

  • Identify new opportunities for GIK/Cash support and research corporate prospects for strategic partnerships and GIK engagement.

  • Develop appeals to current and potential corporate GIK/Cash donors in support of GIK needs.

  • Craft and execute specific follow-up communications for GIK/Cash donors.

  • Attend trade shows and participate in local cultivation meetings and events.

  • Manage outreach efforts and maintain up-to-date information in the donor database.

  • Provide guidance pertaining to all aspects of GIK donor stewardship, tracking and monitoring of inbound GIK, development of annual budgets and other required management tasks.

  • Other department needs and duties as required.

****SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:****


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred or equivalent years of experience in related field of position

  • 3-5 years’ work experience in related field

  • Experience working with GIK and cash donors, preferred

  • Experience and understanding of the pharmaceutical/health care sector

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships

  • Self –starter; ability to work in stressful environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of ethics and integrity

  • Effective time-management, planning and organizational skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office ability for presentations, reports and communications
