Industrial Maintenance Controls Technician - Frito-Lay - Kathleen, GA


3rd Shift position available for an experienced controls technician with solid industrial electrician skills in addition to strong Allen Bradley/RS & ControlLogix programming & T-shooting, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) I/O networking and Operator Interface Terminal/TouchScreen application maintenance and development including Wonderware and/or other HMI programming/maintenance experience.


Additional requirements include effective personal/team interaction, verbal/written communication, facilitation and customer service skills. Experience & technical capability with industrial instrumentation, relay control logic, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) networks and Allen Bradley/RS Logix programming language, Operator Interface Terminal/TouchScreen application maintenance and development, and wonderware programming/maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to teach, develop course work and mentor skill advancement in the areas of instrumentation, PLC hardware, variable frequency drives and PLC programming. Experience with sequel server, DA Servers, Switch setup and configurations, IP addressing, active factory and downloading/uploading programs into processors via Ethernet and direct connection. Ability to prioritize and perform several tasks simultaneously under pressure and be able to demonstrate a history of strong intellectual curiosity; organizational, analytical, and leadership skills; and keen attention to detail. Experience with software licensing and corporate agreements. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Preventative maintenance activities to sustain a robust controls hardware, software system and process network infrastructure. Predictive, Preventative and Corrective work in all areas of the site with the primary focus on instrumentation, MCC (motor control center) and PLC hardware, network connections and PLC programming Develop and Execute a Preventative maintenance schedule for the site’s systems On Call Technical Support for the site’s maintenance team for Instrumentation and Controls issues Develop and Execute an annual training calendar to improve and sustain the technology departments’ instrumentation and controls skills and capabilities Develop, Lead and Facilitate controls projects at the site Internal and External point of contact for all site controls and instrumentation upgrades (ie: corporate communication or corporate project requests) Maintain, Update and Action Plan site Controls scorecard Deliver site controls vision and strategy through upkeep on current standards for switches, controls devices, control instruments, and software versions/licenses All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
