Maintenance / Heavy Equipment Technician – Nashville, TN
Are you someone with a positive attitude and dependable? Do you enjoy multiple tasks? You don’t have to be experienced in a scrapyard environment but do need to know how to repair equipment to keep the yard operational.
Description:
- Diagnose/Troubleshoot and repair on all types of Heavy Equipment (Material Handlers, Loaders, Forklifts, Skid-Steers, Shredder, Conveyors)
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Perform equipment inspections
- Must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions
- Must have own set of hand tools
- Must have Hydraulic/Electrical and some welding experience
- Operate mobile equipment as needed
- Work together with other employees on preventative maintenance repairs, scheduled repair projects and normal production
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures
- Team player dedicated to the organization
- Dependable and a positive attitude are a must
- Must be highly self-motivated
- A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations, without exception

- Typical hours will be 7am-3:30pm or if on the shredder crew will be (5am-1:30pm summer & 10am-6:30pm winter) and willing to work overtime as downtime occurs to enable the plant to come back on line.
