Part Time Optometrist Assistant Northern Virginia
Senior Vision Services a leading vision care provider in the nursing home sector is currently seeking an experienced Optometrist Assistant to travel with our health care professionals to clinical in area nursing homes.
The candidate we are seeking will have proven communication skills, compassion for our patients with dignity and be able to arrive to work on time and be ready an ambassador to the elderly with vision needs. This is a great opportunity for those with Clinical Optical Tech and CNA background with the ability to navigate in a nursing home setting. We are willing to train the right candidate also.
Job Duties


*Partnering with our nursing home staff to managing the patient flow to the exam area
* Communicate with the nursing home and home office staff to ensure policies and procedures are met.


*Being able to show up a half hour before your shift to start gathering charts, checking on scheduled patients to ensure that we are communicating the process of the exam, administering required meds to dilate the eye, and communicating with the patients in a respectful and dignified way


* Ensures all necessary paperwork is complete before leaving the assigned home for the day.


* Compliant with HIPPA policies


* Most shifts are from 8:30 AM to 3-5 PM Locations of travel (Northern Virginia greater Area)


* Must have reliable transportation. SVS does reimburse mileage at a set rate


* High school education or GED required


* Prefer at least 1 year experience, but will train the right candidate
